Amid growing interest in rural recreation, a key contradiction in contemporary Russian tourism is becoming more acute: the spontaneous development of individual agritourism facilities clashes with the lack of a systematic approach to their integration. The goal of this study is to overcome this fragmented view of the problem and systematically understand the organizational features of the innovative development of rural tourism, which is characterized by a complex structure. The article utilizes content analysis, comparative territorial analysis, and systemic, institutional, and economic-statistical approaches. The author argues that examining this segment without the inclusion of digital innovations leads to a loss of synergy and limits its potential as a driver of economic growth. The presented materials will be useful to researchers specializing in regional economics, tourism, and geography, government officials responsible for rural development, and entrepreneurs planning or operating in rural tourism. The conclusion is the need to transition from a decentralized model of rural tourism development to an integrated one. To contribute to solving this problem, a set of three practical recommendations is proposed: the formation of regional agritourism complexes, the creation of a unified digital platform for the aggregation/promotion of services, and the implementation of a flexible and transparent voluntary certification scheme adapted to the specifics of rural areas.
