Biography

Larisa Khasanbievna Gazgireeva was born on March 6, 1978, in Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Krai. In 2002, she graduated with honours from the Faculty of Philology of Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University, specialising in “Teacher of Russian Language, Literature, and Spanish,” qualifying as a philologist. In 2005, she successfully defended her Candidate of Sciences dissertation (PhD) in Specialisation 13.00.01 – General Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy and Education. The dissertation was titled “State (Official) Pedagogy of Russia in the 17th–19th Centuries.” In 2014, she defended her Doctor of Sciences dissertation in Specialisation 09.00.11 – Social Philosophy at the North Caucasus Federal University (Stavropol). The dissertation was titled “Spiritual Life of Contemporary Russian Society in the Existential-Axiological Dimension.”

L. Kh. Gazgireeva began her teaching career in 2006 at the Institute of Economics and Management (Pyatigorsk). From 2007 to 2009, she served as Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee.

Her research interests include motivation and perfectionism in the axiological dimension of social existence, the specific features of the development of the hospitality and tourism industry, and the spiritual and moral life of contemporary Russian society. Since 2015, she has been working as a Professor at the Department of Tourism and Hotel Service of Pyatigorsk State University.

In parallel, from 2015, she taught disciplines such as Philosophy, Cultural Studies, History of Civilisation, and Bioethics at Pyatigorsk Medical and Pharmaceutical Institute.

Larisa Khasanbievna is a laureate of the 2010 All‑Russian Competition for the Best Scientific Book in Philosophy (“Conceptual Foundations of Noospherisation of Modern Man and Society”), organised by the Foundation for the Development of National Education in Sochi. She is the author of more than 250 scientific publications in central and regional scientific press, including 9 monographs, 53 articles in journals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) of Russia, and 15 articles in journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. She actively participates in the intellectual life of her department and institute, and is a regular participant in scientific conferences, congresses, symposia, and round‑table discussions. She has received numerous letters of gratitude, certificates of honour, and diplomas. Her total number of publications on eLibrary.ru is 161, with a total of 1,717 citations.

Since 2020, L. Kh. Gazgireeva has continued her professional career at the Russian State University of Tourism and Service (Moscow) as a Professor at the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality, and also serves as the Director of the educational programme 43.03.03 – Hotel Management. She teaches the following disciplines (at both bachelor’s and master’s levels):
